Gather Tools

- Note:
Building your trackers requires very few tools, we tried to design them to need as few tools as possible to make it extra simple!
Grab a Philips Screwdriver, you will want this to be a #1 tip. You can also use a smaller Philips #0 screwdriver, but the screws included in the kit are Philips #1. Don't have one? This small kit from iFixit might be worth picking up.
You will need a 3D Printer or access to one. If you don't have a 3D Printer we suggest asking a friend for help!
If you can't find a friend to help, we suggest checking if your school or library might have a 3D printer you can use! You can also see if your local Makerspace could let you use one!

If you do not have access to a 3D printer at all, you can purchase pre-printed parts on our Kit Configurator. We highly recommend you ask around to save yourself some money though!

Get Tracker & Charging Dock Boards

Buy assembled the Tracker Boards, you will need one board for each tracker you plan to build!
Be sure to also buy a Charging Dock board if you plan to build one. Each dock charges up to 8 trackers.
We include all the screws you will need inside of the kit when you purchase!

Batteries

You will need batteries for each tracker you are building. If you are buying batteries from us they come with a JST (PH2.0) connector for easy connection to the tracker board!

If you live in a location we are unable to ship batteries to you will need to purchase the batteries separate! Use one of the links below to buy the 803035 OR 903035 batteries from a 3rd party seller. If you are unable to find batteries with the correct connector (JST PH2.0) then you will need a soldering iron to attach the batteries!

Get Straps
Comfort Straps

You can either build your own DIY Straps or purchase some nicer straps from someone in the community!
We recommend that you buy a set of straps from VYR0 VR or another community creator! Any pre-made straps should work just fine!
You can find a few options here:
If you are on a tight budget and cannot afford straps from the community, you can always build your own DIY Straps for around $12, making it very affordable. They work pretty well, and you can always buy nicer straps later.

Get 3D Printer Filament

For the later steps of the guide you will need to get some filament for your 3D printer, here is the exact amounts you need!
PLA Filament: ~240g
PETG Filament: ~55g
- Note:
The PETG Filament is recommended to print out the Tracker Slide Mounts for the Straps so that they never wear out. If you do not have access to PETG you can print out the Strap Slide Mounts with PLA but we do not recommend it since PLA fatigues over time.
